  •  New embedURI settings (matpdf)

    Pages/feature:

    • Create Exam Form → View Exam → Build QTI Package

    Description:

    When you add a media file to an item, the exported QTI generates a <mataudio> or <matvideo> element for the item in the itempool.xml. We added an option to include <matpdf> elements by defining embedURI settings for PDF files. In the Media Configuration settings of the QTI Builder, you will see two sections, one for mataudio/matvideo and one for matpdf. The following settings are available in each section:

    • embedURI: Select true or false. The default value is true.
      • true indicates that the media file is embedded in the item and compiled into the exam repository
      • false indicates that the media file is hosted in Media Content Deployer 
    • Path: Specify the path to the media file. This is only required if embedURI is set to false and the file is nested in a folder in Media Content Deployer. If the file is hosted at the root level in Media Content Deployer (not within a folder), no path is required.

  •  Assets in shared items are viewable in associated projects

    Pages/feature:

    • Manage Item Bank → Projects → Add Content

    Description:

    When adding a question from one project to another project, it is added as "viewable" by default unless the item bank manager selects the option to add it as "editable". We updated this functionality to ensure that any assets that are attached to the item being shared are also made viewable in the project that the item is shared to. The asset will be searchable and viewable by users with the appropriate permissions.

    Note: if the shared item is removed from a project, the associated asset still remains viewable in that project.
